BOX Control Systems
Fast and accurate control systems
The Swisslog-Accalon BOX control systems are based on the concept of a stationary Server connected to and controlling a number of cranes and/or conveyor systems, with a single interface based on TCP/IP connecting the Server to a Warehouse Management System.

The BOX control systems feature an easy-to-use, graphical user interface called BOX Control Interface (BCI). The BCI is designed to display information from all CraneBOX and ConveyorBOX services installed in a plant in one application, providing the operator with the full system overview in real time. It enables the operators to monitor run-time status of the system down to every single I/O. This enables easy error-handling and the ability to check the status of all parts of the subsystems.
Swisslog-Accalon controlled systems are also user-friendly in that they give the operators on the floor the tools they need to manage the operation. It is for example very easy to isolate a part of the system if you need to make a manual intervention - such as removing a collapsed load.
It is also easy, thanks to Swisslog-Accalon Compact starter technology, to "manually" drive the system via the decentralised control panels. These features are invaluable both for the end-user in operation, and for the Systems Integrator during commissioning and testing on site.
Available for general use
Even though Swisslog-Accalon´s BOX control systems have been optimised for use with Swisslog-Accalon products, they are also available for use on other manufacturers´ equipment. CraneBOX, for instance, has been implemented and is running mini load cranes from another manufacturer and ConveyorBOX has been used to control other manufacturers conveyors.
